Designer Profile
Happy Garden was originally a concept children’s clothing store in the heart of Paris with a peaceful, bright and inspirational atmosphere… just like an imaginary garden...
Happy Garden then rapidly developed its own line of clothes and accessories. Marie-Laurence's fundamental idea is that everybody, including children, should take the liberty to express their own personality through how they dress. Defining the style of this collection is not easy since the entire premise of the Happy Garden brand is to not only mix styles but bright with sober colours, printed fabrics with plain wool. What is clearly identifiable, however, is the result, which is just fantastic. Have you ever seen something like this before? We haven't, and it was love at first sight. Not only are Happy Garden clothes original and beautiful but they are also made of premium materials: wool, bamboo fibre, Liberty fabrics. Marie-Laurence spends a lot of her time carefully selecting the materials and prints, and constantly finds new sources of inspiration in current fashion trends and through her own travels, for example designs inspired by Japanese kimonos and even retro looks based on fashion from the 60s and 70s. Our favourite pieces are their ever popular raincoats, the Twiggy cardigan, the Phoebe and Happy sun dresses, the Yoko blouse, and the Miami shorts. We’re sure they will become your favourites too. |
